Master Richard Keiss took a long road to get to where he is today, master and owner of two martial arts studios.  Master Keiss has been training in martial arts for years, and initially started his life in martial arts with the military in his youth.  After he left the military, he took some time in between other life experience until he turned 28.  Master Keiss started seriously training in taekwondo when he turned 28 and eventually attained his own personal Master’s status.  He has held his black belt’s status for a great long time now, and he has been successful in founding his own business and expanding it to a additional location by which he has been able to expand his student base to teach his student the merits of taekwondo.  With his many years in Taekwondo, Master Keiss started working in 1983 as an independent contractor for one of his masters in order to further his own career teaching taekwondo, as well as continuing his development in martial arts.

One of the interesting facts about Master Keiss is that while he was a child he used to practice at MMA.  This has lead him to believe that martial arts is healthy, both for the mind and body, which is one of the reasons he is for anything that promotes martial arts as an activity.  To endorse this view, Master Keiss started learning Hapkido as an alternative form of martial arts in 1995.  Having become incorporated on his own in 1987, he opened his first studio in 1997.  Master Keiss has had years of experience in self-defense and martial arts, which is why he has developed age specific curricula for his classes.  He will teach Taekwondo to almost anyone, but since Hapkido is far more challenging and requires more discipline in some regards, he will only teach adults over the age of 18.  If you want a teacher who has the experience and knowledge to help you achieve the best you can in yourself, Draco Academy is the place to go.
